  • make sure you can quickly locate HW assignments 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5 Part 1

  • make sure all of those problems are complete and CORRECT

  • you should have either a yellow, blue, or green highlighter tomorrow

  • be sure you know how to solve equations with fractions in it

  • make sure you know (i.e. PRACTICE!!!!!) how to solve an equation for a variable (write directions to a party and get back home)

1.3 Algebraic Expressions

1.1 and 1.2


  • create vocabulary index cards

  • read all examples for each section

  • take notes as necessary

  • attempt to do some of the odd problems for each Example problem you read. The answers to the odd problems are located in the back of the book so you should check them as you go along to ensure that you understand the reading. If you have any questions, I will answer them tomorrow. BUT....you actually have to TRY doing the problems to know what it is you don't know

  • make sure that you write down any and all OBJECTIVES aka AIMS in your notes!
