Mid-Term Reference Sheet Directions (follow these directions to a T otherwise you will not be allowed to use your notes on the mid-term
- write your name in the upper right hand corner
- underneath your name, write "Alg 2 Mid-Term Exam"
- underneath that, write the date and the period
- then fold your paper in half vertically (hot dog)
- trace that fold
- then begin writing out your notes for each problem
- be sure to number them like they are on the mid-term practice
- for example, the first box will be #3 not #1
- wherever you finish with that problem, draw a horizontal line
- continue with this process if you go onto the back and for every page of notes thereafter
- staple your notes together BEFORE the mid-term begins
- if your notes are not nice and neat and in boxes, you will not be permitted to use them on the exam
- underneath the date and period in your heading, write "i LOVE math!" (case sensitive)

4.6 Part 1
- pg 254
- (5-23) odd
4.6 Part 2
- pg 258
- (9-23) odd
- remember, to complete a square, you take half of b and square it
- for example, if b=10, then half of b would be 5 and 5 squared is 25
- if b=2/3, then half of 2/3 would be 2 times 1 (numerator) over 3 times 2 (denominator) which would be equal to 2 over 6 or 1/3. 1/3 squared would be 1 squared over 3 squared which is equal to 1/9
